About the webinar

How do we sleep? Why do we sleep? What do our bodies need us to do to sleep well?

Although sleep is one of the pillars of health alongside food, water and movement, nobody tells us about it!

At any one time 40% of adults and children suffer with sleep issues. It impacts on our health, wellbeing, our ability to function well and enjoy our life. We expect to be able to sleep well without knowing how to help the process. When it goes wrong, we are often at a loss at what what to do.

This fascinating webinar is an introduction to the mysteries of sleep.

It is recommended that you attend this before any of the more specialised  webinars in order to get the most out of them.

What is covered in this webinar?

  • The cycles and rhythms and clocks that govern our sleep
  • The importance of light for good sleep
  • Sleep associations and our primitive brain
  • The hormones which regulate sleepiness and wakefulness and how modern living gets in the way

Who should attend?

  • Anybody who is personally impacted by sleep difficulties; adults and parents
  • Health Professionals wanting to know more about the fundamentals of sleep and how this may impact on their clients
  • Teachers wanting to know more about how sleep deprivation impacts on school age children and their learning / behaviour
