2. What Personal Data We Collect

In connection with delivering training sessions, Peak Sleep collects the following personal data about attendees:

●  Full name

●  Email address

●  Job role and organisation name (if applicable)

Email addresses for the purposes of sending the information booklet are collected directly from attendees. The method differs depending on the type of session:

Online courses

Email addresses are collected during the webinar in one of three ways:

●  Sending their email address in the webinar chat or Q&A function

●  Completing the end of webinar survey, which includes a field for their email address

●  Emailing Peak Sleep directly to request the information booklet

In person courses

Email addresses are collected in one of two ways:

●  Provided by attendees in writing at the time of the session

●  Emailing Peak Sleep directly after the session to request the information booklet

In all cases, attendees provide their email address voluntarily and solely for the purpose of receiving the information booklet.

3. Why We Use Your Data and Our Lawful Basis

Peak Sleep processes attendee personal data for two specific purposes. In both cases the lawful basis is performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR) — processing is necessary to deliver the training service booked by the commissioning organisation.

Attendance records

Following the session, a record of who attended is shared with the commissioning organisation. This allows them to confirm completion of training for their own records.

Information booklet

Attendees' contact details are used to send them a follow-up information booklet relating to the course content. This forms part of the service delivered under the booking.

6. How Long We Keep Your Data

Retained for 6 years from the date of the session, in line with HMRC requirements and to protect against any contractual dispute.

Individual contact details (email addresses)
Deleted within 12 months of the session date, or sooner once the information booklet has been sent and there is no outstanding query.

7. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, attendees have the following rights in relation to their personal data:

●  Right of access — you can request a copy of the data Peak Sleep holds about you

●  Right to rectification — you can ask us to correct inaccurate data

●  Right to erasure — you can ask us to delete your data where there is no legitimate reason to continue holding it
